Playing With the Ducklings and Chicks
The ducklings and chicks are now 3 weeks old and still super cute. They’re really fun to watch run around and play outside. Maybe next week I’ll try to put a video on.
These ducklings would grab a sip of water out of this tub I had propped on its side. Then they’d run around the tub like a duck, duck, goose game and go back to their postition and drink some more. It was so funny! I wish I’d videoed it.
I also love to watch the chicks playing on a hollow log.

Misc. Pictures
I walked in the house one day from working outside and loved seeing these 3 happily drawing on the living room floor.
I love listening to Kaitlyn singing while Kylie plays. We miss Kylie so much when she’s at college, especially Kaitlyn. She has 3 older sisters and adores all of them. She doesn’t like being the oldest sister at home.
Making s’mores bars for an evening reading party.
Weeding our overgrown garden. I’ve been so busy struggling to provide for my children that we haven’t worked in the garden nearly as much as we did last year. Since it doesn’t produce any money, I felt I shouldn’t take time to do it. But when we do work I love it. I love gardening and am so grateful for all the food we can grow. Hopefully next year I’ll have more time for it.
It’s that time of year again! The leaves are starting to fall as well as the walnuts so it’s time to blow off the shed roofs. I loved watching Andy up there blowing and dancing and having a great time.
Saturday: President Nelson’s Birthday
The president of our church, Russell, M. Nelson turns 99 today! He’s the oldest prophet ever. Not in Biblical times, of course, but in our dispensation. I believe he was called of God to lead Christ’s followers in these the latter-days. He is the 17th prophet since 1830 when Jesus Christ restored His priesthood to Joseph Smith and told Him to be the first prophet since the apostasy. A prophet serves without pay until they die whether it be 10 months or 10 years or more. President Nelson was called in 2018. Before his service in the church he was a famous heart surgeon. And he has 10 children just like us!
Anyway, we had the sister missionaries over for lunch and then had triple tier brownies (one of Kylie’s favorites) and homemade ice cream to celebrate President Nelson’s birthday.
Sunday: Homemade bread, butter, jam and milk
Kylie helped me so much this week taking the kids to rehearsal and playing with them so that I could write lesson plans and try to earn money. So Sunday I wanted to serve her back. I asked her what I could do for her and she said, “Make bread!” So that’s what I did. We had a fun Sunday evening bread party.
