The week we’ve been waiting for has arrived! All 11 kids were supposed to come home this week for Thomas’s endowment and mission farewell. Unfortunately Kylie had an emergency surgery the day before her flight and couldn’t come. That was sad but at least we had 10 kids home, counting Naomi.
Monday
Getting ready for the college kids to come home by painting the porch. Looking good!
Teddy bear sunflower- Luna moth
I love the sunflowers in the garden this time of year. We also saw a cool Luna moth one night while playing outside.
Thomas gets his missionary name tags in the mail!
Wednesday: Alexis is the first to arrive!
Before the college kids came home and after. Ready to feed some starving college students!
Friday
Spencer and Naomi flew in Thursday night. We spent Friday hanging out. We worked on the obstacle course, played football, tuned the piano, played card games and more. It was a wonderful family day with everyone home enjoying each other’s company.

Saturday
We drove to Raleigh for Thomas to go to the temple as an adult for the first time. My sister came as well as Nathan’s parents and some close friends. We’re proud of Thomas for choosing to follow Christ.
Afterward we ate a picnic lunch at the pavilion and then had taco salad for dinner when we got home.
Sunday
Thomas spoke in church, sharing his testimony of how much he loves his Savior and how excited he is to teach people about Jesus Christ. Afterward he became an official missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ. We had pumpkin chili for dinner and then hung out outside and had a little photo shoot.
