Makenna gets 8 teeth pulled

On Monday Makenna had 8 baby teeth pulled. She’s 13.5 and only lost 9 teeth so far, the same as the typical 8 year old. She’s been waiting for them to fall out the past 4 years and waiting to get an expander and braces. Finally the orthodontist said to have them pulled so we can get going on beautifying her smile. She has the tiniest mouth! Only the front 2 teeth go across, then the next ones start growing back. She needs her mouth widened very badly so she can eat and breathe better. She never complains and didn’t complain during this whole process either. She’s amazing! So tough and so sweet.

Samuel catches his first fish!

Samuel missed a fishing day with the Young Men so we asked if they’d do another. They did and he was the only one who caught a fish! Lucky kid!!

Kaitlyn runs away with my camera

Kaitlyn got ahold of my camera and took some selfies and pics of Tilly and Samuel. I’m just posting a couple here.

Shelling sunflower seeds

We spent a whole day pulling out our sunflowers, shaking out the seeds, discarding the ones without seeds in them, and shelling the rest. Then we also roasted them. They were delicious. You can see the process in the video, but here is a picture of a few kids working on it outside.

Primary program and church lunch

Sunday the 21st was our primary program. Sad that I only have 2 kids in primary anymore. When we moved here I still had 5. They’re growing up too fast! Afterward we had a potluck. It was fun but we were in a hurry to get on the road. When we finished eating we hopped in the car and started our 9 day road trip to 13 states!
