This was a frantic week of Thanksgiving preparations. We were swamped with jobs this week on top of homeschooling and rehearsals. It was crazy squeezing it all in. We all worked really hard together and got it all done though. Lots of cleaning, sheets to wash for 14 people to sleep in, food to prep for, and so much more. But it all came together. Check out the blog about it below!!
Monday
We went to our friend’s house who were going to take me out to hunt. Before we went out to hunt I asked Thomas if he wanted to learn to shoot. He tried one shot and got scope eye–when the scope kicks back and hits your eye– so we decided not to go out hunting. Instead of going out, I had fun watching the kids learn to forge, shoot a gun, checking out the Wait’s Tesla, playing with their other toys, and eating delicious deer hamburgers. I also enjoyed watching how to process a deer; one they shot last week.
Thomas’s cut glued shut.
Wednesday
We spent the day doing jobs for people (helping a lady put up her Christmas tree, making bread for someone’s Thanksgiving, singing at a nursing home, etc) and running errands. It was stressful getting it all done but we got home just in time to make dinner for our guests who arrived at 6.30. Spencer and Naomi landed at 3 and Lori and Mama picked them up and brought them home.
While we were out we saw a Cybertruck and the kids were ecstatic! The guy who owns it even let the kids sit in it! What a great reward for all the jobs and errands we were doing.
Thursday
Getting ready for Thanksgiving.
Friday
We celebrated my mom’s birthday and my cousin, Nathan and his wife Alyssa came. They stayed the weekend and were so fun.
Saturday
We had a football party and I made this cute turkey. It’s the only picture I took of the party, but we had fun hanging out together. Such a great weekend!
Sunday
It was so fun having 6 extra people on our bench. Spencer, Maddie and Thomas did a great musical number (part of it is in the vlog) and we all had a great day. Here’s a picture of us!
