Here are pictures and the video from our New England road trip days 7-9. We are having a blast and sad that the trip is coming to an end. We’re in a good groove of packing up the van each morning, driving, hopping in and out to site see, making lunches in the car, unloading at the hotel, making dinners, and hanging out before bedtime. Such wonderful memories we’re making!

We had real New York bagels at our friend’s house and they were the best bagels we’ve ever had! Then it was on the road to spend the day seeing Niagara Falls and a bit of Canada.
The whole day was terrific. Perfect weather, lots of walking but no complaining, plenty of time to see the falls from different view points. And we got to go to Canada!

We went to church in Kirtland, Ohio and toured the historic homes, stores, and temple there. I love the 1800’s time period so it’s fun seeing furnishings and imagining the way of life these people had when they lived there.
After Kirtland we drove to the John Johnson farm, my 6th great-grandfather’s place. Joseph Smith lived here with the Johnson’s for a bit and had a neat vision about the afterlife–how we can all live in the Celestial Kingdom with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and our families if we keep the commandments.

Monday the kids swam in the hotel pool while I worked and then we were on the road again. We drove 3 hours and dropped Madalyn off at the Yeager Airport in Charleston and then drove 3 more hours home. I didn’t take many pictures but there is a lot of video footage of our games at the hotel and driving. So sad our trip was over. A lot of vacations I’m ready to go home, but this one I wasn’t at all. It had been so much fun! Just relaxing being able to travel and site see and not have the dishes, bills, activities, and worry of regular life. We all got along great and really loved this trip. So grateful Maddie got to come with us!!
