Working and Singing
Every day this week we went to a sweet older couple’s new house and helped them move in and unpack. She was very generous in paying each of us, down to Tilly. It was a great experience for the younger kids to work, learn the value of money, obey a “boss” besides me, and keep going even when you want to go home. It was definitely a blessing for me!
On the left, the 3 little kids took a break from unpacking to watch a crew put in a new front sidewalk. The cement mixer was really fun to watch! The little boys said they now want a bag of cement for their birthdays in the fall. 🙂 On the right is Tilly who unpacked and organized puzzles. She was really good at jobs like that.
On Wednesday after helping the couple, we went to a care facility and sang to them, which we also get paid to do. I’d love to do both of these jobs as service because I believe in serving the elderly, but since I need to provide for my family, it’s such a blessing to get paid to do these fun activities as a family. I so appreciate the opportunities.
Sunflowers Opening
I love seeing all the sunflowers on the one tall sunflower plant at various stages of opening. We love walking around it and looking at them. It’s incredible watching things like sunflowers bloom.
Outside Time
We got some beautiful storm clouds one day but sadly, no rain. We’ve never seen such a dry June before. We badly need rain.
The boys loved coming home and reading on the porch swing every day after working for the older couple. The guy gave the 3 kids cute hats.
Talea looked adorable picking berries while I watered the pumpkin patch.
Talea’s 7th Birthday!
Saturday Talea turned 7. Except she said she can still be 6 because I don’t want her to get any older.
My mom got her a semi truck like Sam and Andy have so she can play with them. Kaitlyn crocheted her a horse. I got her the princess outfit from a free program I belong to that has select things I can choose from if I review it. She loves everything! She made a white cake with teal frosting and decorated it with oreos.
