We worked really hard this week! We worked so hard I didn’t stop and take pictures. Every morning I got the kids settled with their school work and went out and did some yard work by myself. Then came in to teach the children some group subjects. Then worked on my business. Then in the evenings we would weed the garden, mow, trim, vacuum the van, clean the coop, etc. It felt great to get so much done. Friday we cleaned the house too and were all ready to go pick up Thomas from college on Saturday.
Going Ziplining!
After picking up Thomas we went ziplining for the first time! It was so much fun. A very sweet fan sent me money with the note to do something fun with my children for Mother’s Day. So I took them ziplining at a place by Thomas’s college. Since he’s home for the summer, I figure it’s not something we’ll go back up there and do this summer. We had a great time and I’m so grateful we got to do it.
Mother’s Day
The 3 girls brought me breakfast in bed. They brought me my museli that I make and put frozen blueberries in it from last summer. This is what I eat every morning and love it.
After church all the kids pitched in to shred the pork I had cooked to make Cafe Rio style sweet pork for a taco salad.
We went outside for a family picture and Thomas got the cast list for Footloose. We all decided not to audition because our summer nights are busy with picking blueberries and taking care of the garden. But the director still wanted Thomas to be in it. He got a good part but he still hasn’t decided if he’ll accept it. It was cute how interested the kids were and proud of their big brother.
