We’re really missing Kaitlyn and Makenna or any of the older kids. But trying to stay busy and make the most of it. We kept up the tent in the living room for 2 weeks and the kids slept in it every night. I like how Andy always used Tilly’s mattress as his pillow.
Mud Kitchen Project With Tilly
Tilly and I took an old chair and barrel and made them into a planter. Then she planted dill, basil, rosemary and lettuce for her mud kitchen. Then she’ll have some edible things to add to stone soup and other delicacies she offers at her restaurant (when we get the whole kitchen finished.)
Painting with Tilly
One night we went to a painting class at church. It was really just for adult women, but Tilly had rehearsal right before it so I brought her along. She’s a better painter than I am! She did great.
Cleaning the Tool Shed
We spent 2 hours one day going through stuff and thowing away 3 trash bags of stuff. Then we spent 2 hours another day sweeping and organizing it. It looks so nice now! I may get some tubs or containers to organize even better, but for now we’re really happy with it. The girls will be so surprised when they get home. And Thomas too. And Spencer! Everyone will love having an organized and efficient tool shed.
- Before we cleaned out the tool shed
- After!!
- Feels great! Can’t wait for the rest of the kids to see it.
Spring Pictures
One evening when the 3 kids were at an activity I treated myself to a walk on the Greenway. Ordinarily I would have sat and worked on my computer because I always have so much work to do and not enough quiet time. But this was my only personal time this week and it was wonderful.
