We left the day after Christmas to make a 15 hour drive down to Fort Lauderdale to see my oldest son, Spencer, get married in the Fort Lauderdale Temple. We believe Elijah the prophet has passed down the priesthood keys needed to seal families together forever, not just “death do us part.” This is done by those holding these keys—those who have the authority to do so, much like John the Baptist had the authority to baptize Jesus–inside the temple which has been dedicated as the house of the Lord. Much like Solomon’s temple.
Spencer and Naomi would have chosen Orlando Temple because Naomi is from Orlando, but it is closed for renovations. So we had to drive down south to Fort Lauderdale. It was beautiful, like all temples are. Such a sweet, beautiful spirit on the temple grounds. Lots of family came to support Spencer and Naomi and their forever marriage.

My 10 kids plus Naomi!
I now have 7 daughters!!!

Hanging out during pictures. Kylie holding Naomi’s bouquet for her and looking beautiful.
Pictures at the park after the sealing
Three of my girls with Annabelle, their cousin. Three of my boys. Grandpa provided pizza at the park for all the wedding guests before we drove up to Orlando.
Pictures of the reception on Saturday
Saturday we had a beautiful reception at a park in Orlando. We had a nacho bar, which was delicious and a lot of fun. Alexis made the wedding cake and it was delicious as well. We spent the afternoon decorating the pavilion at the park and then the reception started at 5. Weather was great, wonderful turn out, and we all had fun.
Hanging out with family
We stayed at Nathan’s sister’s house with her husband and 4 kids. We got to meet baby cousin Phoebe and hold her. She was adorable and so chill about everyone passing her around. Sunday night we hung out at Grandma and Peepaw’s house. All of the teenage/college cousins from mine and Seth’s families sang Messiah. It was sweet to see we have so many singers from just the 2 families. And what a great activity for these young adults to be doing together.

It’s not a fancy one. Just a vlog of our 15 hour car trip, the sealing at the temple, hanging out, getting ready for the reception, etc.
