Sunday
Last Sunday we had an arts and crafts exhibition of sorts. It was at our church 30 minutes away for all the women in the church in our area. Kaitlyn brought her crocheted animals. I brought photos I’ve taken on a hike. Then we also did an art project and had brownie sundaes. It was a fun activity with me and 4 of my girls.
Monday and Tuesday
Someone gave Thomas a bike so the kids enjoyed riding bikes all afternoon on Monday. Tuesday I took the kids to the movies for the very first time! We saw “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” since we’re in it and wanted to see it before we perform our play. It was pretty good. It’s only $5 on Tuesdays so everyone paid their way. It was a fun treat.
That night we went to a craft activity for girls where we made some cute Christmas crafts.
Saturday
We went to a family reunion of the people who built our house. It was fun meeting a lot of relatives. I feel honored to live in “the homeplace.” The family who built the house in 1936 is an amazing family. I feel so grateful for all the work they’ve done to build the house, keep it up, till the land, beautify the yard. What a legacy they’ve left me.
