Kaitlyn’s Half Birthday

Kaitlyn is 14 1/2 and enjoyed making candy corn brownies for her treat. She also picked to watch a Claire Crosby video, who she’s always loved.

Fort Building

Thursday our power was out for 5 hours so the kids made a blanket fort in the sunroom to hang out and read in.

Wood Stacking

Fall is here and time to get the wood shed filled up! We spent a few hours on Thursday cutting and stacking wood. We rearranged the shed so that the old wood was on one side and the new wood on another. Feels so good to have it organized and a good start on our winter’s supply!

Above is the before and after. Below is doing an assembly line to stack the wood Thomas has split. Then Thomas and Kaitlyn went to a Halloween dance. Thomas was a “greaser” from the musical Grease, Jr. Kaitlyn was a Twix bar.

Asheville Tree Cleanup

Sunday we went back to Asheville to help with cleanup again. I heard one one of our jobs would be carpet removal in a flooded home, so I was excited to do a new job. But our first job took the whole day! So we didn’t do the carpet removal but still had a great day. We helped a guy who had dozens of trees down on his dirt road. The weather was beautiful and I enjoyed spending the day outside working hard.
