2-15-26 Back to Normal!

8 year old on GLERC bike

The week started off by still being snowed in. We had to leave the van at the end of the driveway if we ever wanted to go anywhere. Church, rehearsals, and Thomas’s service were back in session. We even started getting mail again!

Walking to the van and back home after church. This was our third Sunday that we were snowed in. Very rare and a memorable experience!

Tuesday feels like spring!

Our thermometer hit 70 degrees for several hours on Tuesday. I was finally able to get the ice off the sidewalk and shovel for the first time in over 2 weeks. Yay, no more slipping! The driveway still had a lot of pristine ice on it, but in a couple more days it all melted too. No more parking at the end and walking!

The kids reading an email from a friend who told of her funny week. I love hearing them all laugh together. Makenna an Talea made snowboards for their dolls and have been playing the Olympics this week as we watch them.

Talea Gets A New Bike!

GLERC, a bike company, reached out to me and offered us a free bike if we’d do a video review for them. Since Talea was in need of a bike, we said sure! We put it together and she loved riding it. That night I took her to the Greenway and we had fun riding bikes together for a short time. Can’t wait for spring to go on longer rides and hikes.

Here’s the website for GLERC: glercbikes.com. Enter the code FARM 10 to get $10 off. Right now all bikes are 40% off so with the extra $10 discount, it’s a great deal. Get your child or grandchild a new bike for fun spring riding!

Thursday -snow is gone!

Every day Tilly and I go for a walk around our property. We usually stop at the mailbox first and today, after 19 days, there was mail and packages! We had trouble carrying it all home. After dropping it off, we went down to the pond to check on the status of the ice. It’s melting too of course. The dolls can ice skate on it, but we can’t.

Our icy driveway is now a muddy one. The hens are laying great and we’re able to provide all of our customers with eggs again. Even the hens are back to normal.
