This week was perfect! We had perfect weather and a perfect schedule. Every morning we worked in the garden from 8:30-11:30. Then went in for lunch. Then tidied the house, folded laundry, etc. The kids had free time and I worked on my business. In the afternoon Thomas and the boys worked on the wooded obstacle course Thomas is building. Tilly and I worked on her mud kitchen that I am building. We ate simple dinners, often outside. The kids played games in the cherry tree with hammocks. They Pogo stocked and rode on hoverboards around the yard. They played with the chickens. Everyone was happy, relaxed, and thriving. It felt great! So nice to have a week with nowhere to go until Friday when Thomas got his wisdom teeth out.

Friday Lori came up for Memorial Day weekend. She helped build the mud kitchen, work in the garden and on Blueberry Hill, and watched a movie with us. A perfect ending to our perfect week.

The kids helping hold wood pieces so that Thomas could screw them together. This is the second huge piece he’s assembled like this.

Tilly serving me her special “wood chip dip.” It’s her first meal in her new kitchen and it was delicious!

The garden with hay put down and then blown between all the rows. Looking good for now! Lori harvested about 10 garlic plants while she was here and enjoyed it. We made garlic scape pesto with the scapes and she chopped up the cloves to take home and use.

The little boys watching our first haying of the season. The next day we worked in our blueberry patch on Blueberry Hill. Kaitlyn always mows us a path and then we head into the bushes to start freeing them of briars.

Thomas on the second day after getting his wisdom teeth out. Only one side was swollen. He did really well and healed fast.

As always, watch the vlog of our week for more detail and adventure!
