kids watching General Conference

When we got back from our trip we fell into a routine of school, work, and going to rehearsals for Junie B. Jones. Didn’t take too many pictures, so you can see what we did in the vlog.

Watching General Conference

Lori came up for General Conference, the time we hear messages about Christ from our prophet and apostles. We make some fun snacks like taquitos, chip and dips, and cinnamon rolls. The kids play conference bingo and we all take notes of things that inspire us to be better disciples of Christ.

Processing a Deer

One day this week we went to our friend’s house and learned how to skin and process a deer. It was so fun! The 15 year old boy who taught us was amazing!! Kaitlyn was a natural. She was so good with the knife, cutting quickly and accurately. It’s fun to watch her do homesteading stuff because it brings her so much joy. I can’t wait to see her at her own homestead someday and all she does with it.

Afterward we rode on their swing. First you get on a pallet on a tractor and get raised way up high. Then you get on the swing, walk off the platform, and away you go! It’s so fun! Watch the video to see the fun we had.
