We had a week of beautiful weather! After a cold, snowy winter, the crocuses are up! We did school outside, played, ate, even slept outside!

Anderson learned some camera techniques from Madalyn when she was home at Christmas and had fun trying out his skills on the beautiful purple flowers.

Wednesday night the kids were playing outside past dark and then decided to sleep in the nest they had made. I called it a ‘Pentagon nest” since it slept 5 young’uns. They looked really cozy curled up together and had a good time.

Friday’s Spring Weather

Friday we played outside all day. We even did school outside and ate lunch and dinner outside too. It was great! We ate nachos for lunch and sloppy joes for dinner. After dinner we planted the lettuce and peas in the garden. First seeds of the year!

Also this week..

Every afternoon the 3 girls practiced for Descendants, the play they’re in coming up, with their dolls outside. They’ve gotten so good that they have the entire script memorized and Kaitlyn has been able to play extra parts during the real rehearsal! She’s been so happy. She’s been trying extra hard lately to get better at singing and acting and it shows.

Saturday the kids had an annual birthday party for Makenna’s doll. Each year they all pull out stuff from their junk boxes and put it on the table for a yard sale to sell to each other. They all go shopping and take what they want and throw away the rest. They also made several treats and snacks. The kids love doing doll birthday parties.

Watch this week’s vlogs to see the action!
