There are 3 girls in college. They room together so they’re leaving the same city and coming to the same city to come home for Christmas. You’d think they’d all take the same flight, right?
No!
They took 3 different flights! So it was a trick picking them all up. On Tuesday after rehearsal the 6 younger kids went to the airport to pick up Madalyn, the first of the college girls to come home. Her flight was a few minutes early. Yes!
Kylie was the next to come home. Or was supposed to… She got stuck in Nashville during a bad storm. She was supposed to land at 10pm at one airport. Alexis was landing at 11pm at another airport. Four kids were on the way to get Kylie when I texted them Kylie was delayed. They hung out at our church for 2 hours and then realized they’d better go get Alexis. Alexis’s flight was about 15 minutes late. Then they went to the other airport to get Kylie, who landed at 1:30am, 3.5 hours late. They got home a little after 4am. It was a whirlwind of driving to 2 different airports in the pouring rain for hours and hours, but they all made it home safely!!
The kids watching Maddie’s flight land a few minutes early on Tuesday. Andy and Tilly at home waiting for Maddie to go pick up Kylie and Alexis on Thursday.

Ready to go to see 6 children perform in “A Christmas Carol.”
A Christmas Carol Performance
Friday night we all went to the kids’s 5th performance of Christmas Carol this week. So fun to dress up and watch it with my 3 college girls.
Five kids were the Crochit kids. Thomas played Jacob Marley. They all did so well! See clips in the vlog below!
